Dry Brush Gone Boho Chic

Hiya guys! I’m Rose from the nail blog Manicured and Marvelous and I’m here to fill in today. Ever since my health has been on a down slope I have been only wanting to do simple nail art. One of the simplest designs I could think of is the dry brush technique. This whole design took me about 45 minutes and it would have been less had I not recorded and stamped. I’m like the biggest snail in existence so coming from me that’s a record breaking time, haha.

There was a bit of rage when I applied topcoat and it ended up smearing the top part of my middle nail. Not enough to redo the nail though, haha. That aside, I do love how this turned out. The festive collection from Bundle Monster is one of my favorite stamping collections of all time, hence me using these plates far too often now.

And here’s everything I used to create this look:

 Polishes: Tux Polish (*) – Saturday Night, Don’t Believe Me Just Watch, and

Hollywood, Girls Hit Your Hallelujah

 Stamping Plate: Bundle Monster – Festival Plate BM S304

 Liquid Latex: So Much Goodness (*) – Purple Nurple

 Top Coat: Seche Vite

As the namesake of this design states, it’s all about having a dry brush and swiping it across your nail. Normally after a few swipes on the bottle I grab a paper and dab some of the excess off as well. The less polish your brush has the easier this design will be to complete. There will be a video tutorial up for this design so be sure to head over to my channel Youtube.com/roselynnmercedes787 and subscribe so you don’t miss out on the upload!

Of course, once you’re done with the dry brush you can seal the design and call it a day. Personally though I love adding stamping to backgrounds like this for that extra ‘bam’ factor.
