How are you?? So I was one of the people who fell in love with the swatches of Essie’s Cashmere Collection and then completely deflated when I saw all the horrible reviews about the formula. We all know that Essie can be very hit or miss so I decided to forget about the collection, but Coat Couture just stayed with me. I couldn’t get it off my head!! When someone told me they were hitting a supply store and could get it at a discounted price I said.. why not? We ALL know that when we get a polish in our head we really don’t stop until we have it!
So, here it is! what do I think? I personally love it.. I think the finish is beautiful and the color is gorgeous with that beautiful blue shimmer.
What is the formula like?! Well… it is not bad at all. Maybe I was just determined to like it? I sincerely don’t think so. I originally did two coats on all nails, then top coated middle and ring and used some vynils to do a line of flakies, but then I realized the flakies didn’t really work so I just did a third coat on both those finger.. you can barely tell so that to me is a clear sign of “this is not as bad as they said it was”
For nail art I did a simple waterfall with gold glitter. Hope you like it!
So, is this an untried treasure? I believe so. I absolutely love the shade and can see myself wearing again!
Do you have this polish? If so please let me know what you think of the formula!
Thank you so much for reading!

Gorgeous! I have 3 of the cashmeres in my untrieds, this makes me want to pull them out. I think mattes and Satins etc get bad reviews because they apply different than what we’re used to, but different isn’t always bad.
I agree with you! Im so sad i didnt get more of these
Beautiful! I have this one and ‘Comfy in Cashmere,’ and found that this one had a MUCH better formula than CIC. I think this is the prettiest out of the entire collection, too!
Is that the pink?? I had my eye on the pink but of course this was my true love
Beautiful polish and your waterfall is such a gentle accent. 🙂
Ack! This is the essie I passed but can’t stop thinking about too!! LOVE! Now I need it!
It stays with you doesnt it?! I just couldn’t get it out of my head
I don’t have this polish but it truly is beautiful!
It is! I love it!!
I bought a trio of these – I should get them out! I love the gray base and shimmer.
Yes get those babies out!!
The polish is nice but it’s even better with your nail art.
Beautiful ……….I loved the finish of this polish, looks great on you. I liked the waterfall too.
Stunning swatch and polish! I’m happy to read the formul wasn’t bad as I may give it a try!
Thank you!!! I had no problems but i keep hearing horrible things about it
Stunning colour x
Gorgeous! Honestly, half the time when people complain about formulas on press samples they’re received, I’ve found the people are pretty much swatching them almost immediately after receiving them. Like the Zoya Satins. So many people were complaining about the formula. I waited a week to let the formula even out and it was perfect. Not a single issue. I have this whole collection that I randomly came across but I’m so overwhelmed with press samples I haven’t swatched them yet. Now I’m sad and need to get a move on it, because this is gorgeous!
this is lovely. I am not a huge fan of Essie’s formula in general, so to read that this was a challenge is not surprising to me at all.
This is really pretty. I also skipped these because of the reviews. Such a bummer.
The waterfall is pure perfection! It’s just so simple but gorgeous.
This is a cool polish. I m sure i have a lot of untried treasure !
