Hope you’re doing great! Today I have three out of the eight Paint Shop Polish fall collection shades to show you! My thoughts about them at the end, they might surprise you!
Autumn Wind is a copper to gold to rose gold to pink to purple color shifting polish with a beautiful linear holographic shimmer as described by the maker. Four coats plus a bit of a dabbed fifth plus top coat in the pics
Blue Moon is a dark blue polish with a beautiful linear holographic shimmer as described by the maker. Four coats plus top coat in the pics
Hayride is a dark green polish with a beautiful linear holographic shimmer as described by the maker. Four coats plus top coat in the pics
**Yes, you read it right, four coats. I am so sad to report that while the colors are truly pretty, four coats is just heart breaking and I truly wasn’t 100% happy with them, there was still some visible vnl and the tips didn’t look wrapped but I just couldn’t do five coats. The formula is super sheer and the dry time wasn’t the best either, about double my normal waiting time between coats and even with a fast drying top coat I was still not ok to work on Autumn Wind after 30min. Again, heartbroken.
I spoke to the maker (who is one of the sweetest people ever and one of the best makers to work with) about these issues and she assured me that she will be looking into it and work on perfecting the formula. I need to mention that this is the third time I review for this brand and the first time I’ve ever had any type of problems with the formula.**
I waited until I was sure these were dry and stamped Hayride using a plate from the UberChic Set 4 and did some vynil nail art gradient over Blue Moon and their Glitz and Glam.
So, while I think the shades are pretty I’d wait for the maker to fix the formula before I purchase these.
Thank you so much for reading!!
