How are you?! I’m super duper excited! I’m a huge fan the book series by J.R Ward called “The Black Dagger Brotherhood” and today I have Anonymous Lacquer ‘s “The Brotherhood Series” collection (inspired of course by the books) to show you. I can honestly tell you that I literally squealed when this collection popped up on my social media. I had not tried this brand before but I’d heard great things about it from friends so I knew I really needed to get these babies!
The Brotherhood Series is made of five gorgeous holos and of course as we all know, it always rains on holo swatching days so I was not able to swatch these in sunlight but I did my best to catch the holo for you. Let’s see them and my thoughts at the end!
Gorgeous blurple linear holo with red to green shifty flakes, two coats plus top coat in the pics.
White jelly holo, with a pink to blue flash. The holo does make it lean a bit grey in some lighting (as per maker). Three coats plus top coat in the pics.
Gawgeous black linear holo, the holo is strong in this one. Two coats plus top coat.
Is a pewter color micro glitter (as per maker), can be used as a topper or by itself. I did three coats plus top coat for the pics
Incredibly strong red linear holo. Absolutely gorgeous and rich, two coats plus top coat in the pics.
I honestly already knew I was going to like these but loving them depended on the formula, I think that when you purchase a collection out of fandom and you already think that the shades are pretty, it’s kind of hard to be surprised but, I was surprised and not only surprised, I was really blown away. The formulas on these babies are amazing!! And…these holos are no joke! Dry time was great having only waited about 2min in between every coat. I also want to point out that I purchased on Wednesday and got my package in less than a week, I was very happy with how fast the shipping was!
Overall, my experience with these cannot be better, Anonymous sure did justice to the Brotherhood. This IS a limited edition so I recommend you get them before they go, I loved all five of these but if you could only choose one… Warth is definitely a must have!
Thank you so much for reading!! I added a little BDB dictionary at the bottom for you in case you’re interested.

Couple of key words from the BDB credits to wikipedia
Wrath, son of Wrath, is also known as the Blind King—the King of the Vampires and last pure-blood vampire in existence. As such, he is a well-known legend to the lessers. When the series started, he was almost blind and not willing to ascend to the throne. He falls in love with Beth, the half-breed daughter of his Brother-in-arms, Darius. His and Beth’s story is told in Dark Lover. By the end of Lover Avenged, Wrath is completely blind and relies on a service dog, George, and his shellan (wife), Beth.
Mine- is what Wrath hears whenever he is close to his future wife
The Scribe Virgin is the vampire’s deity, a mystical force and creator of the vampire race. She acts as counselor to the King, keeper of the vampire archives, and dispenser of privileges. She exists in a nontemporal realm and possesses great powers. Her true name is revealed in Dark Lover to be Analisse.
The Omega is the lessers’ counterpart to the Scribe Virgin. He is a malevolent, shadowy figure who has targeted the vampires for extinction out of resentment toward the Scribe Virgin for her ability to create life. He also exists in a nontemporal realm, Dhund (the vampiric equivalent of “Hell”) and has extensive powers. The Omega is also the brother of the Scribe Virgin. After the events of Lover Enshrined, it is shown that he can circumvent time and space to a certain degree, as he was able to impregnate a female vampire in order to sire a child. He is hinted to be gay and displays a fickle, unstable nature.
